The apsd
process stands for Apple Push Notification Service Daemon. It's responsible for handling the delivery of notifications for various applications and services on iOS and macOS devices, such as Mail, FaceTime, or messaging apps.
While Surge Enhanced Mode is on, the apsd
will be disconnected from *.push.apple.com
which causes iMessage not working.
iMessage Security Overview
For me, a rule DOMAIN-SUFFIX,*.push.apple.com, DIRECT
is set, and plus, I tried to add it to skip-proxy
as well. They do not work as expected.
But when I turn Enhanced Mode off, It recovers, not only iMessage (send, receive, sync, etc.) but also some notifications from other APPs (feeeed, etc.).
