Despite following the available documentation and attempting various configurations, I have encountered persistent issues that I have been unable to resolve.
Issue Summary:
Main Issue: Signal only connects reliably when Surge is set to "Enhance Mode." However, this mode significantly impacts my device's overall performance. Without Enhance Mode, Signal frequently disconnects or fails to connect at all.
Attempted Solutions: I have tried adjusting the Advanced Proxy Service Settings, specifically targeting traffic to and from *.signal.org on TCP port 443, as well as allowing all UDP ports, given Signal's use of these protocols. Despite these efforts, the connectivity issues persist.
Objective: My goal is to configure Surge such that Signal operates smoothly without requiring Enhance Mode, ensuring both secure messaging functionality and efficient network performance.
Could you please provide guidance or specific configurations that might address these issues? I am particularly interested in any steps I can take to ensure that Signal's traffic is correctly managed by Surge, including any rules, scripts, or advanced settings that could facilitate this.
